Trekking- There are exclusive campgrounds for trekkers in the lower ranges of Kangra valley and Kullu; Kinnaur, Lahaul, Spiti and Chail are popular trekking regions. The best season for trekking is from May to October. You can take the help of a guide for your trekking route.
Golfing- It is among the older adventures in Himachal especially in Shimla and Kullu district. Shimla has one of the oldest golf course in the world. Naldehra Golf Ground, is a nine-hole course with par 68 and is known to be one of the most challenging golf course in India. The favorable time for golfing is from April to June. All the equipments and guides are available at the various golf link clubs.

Paragliding- The paragliding site at Bir Billing in Kangra district is the best in the world. Bir is a beautiful village while Billing offers for high altitude and cross country flights. Bilaspur, Kangra, Kullu and Pabbar Valley are great spots for paragliding. The best time for the sport is from March to May.
Rafting- Himachal’s snow fed rivers offers amazing opportunity for white water rafting. It is best done in summers when the rivers are filled with water and also provides it the enough speed. Rivers such as Satluj, Ravi, Beas, Chandrabhaga are ideal for rafting.
The call of the mountains is simply alluring. Manali forms the core region for mountaineering in Himalayas. There are a number of training institutes that teach this activity.
