From winter to summer sports, Vancouver has a wide variety of excellent sport facilities that cater to all types and levels of sporting events. Some of the facilities include:
Rogers Arena
Situated in the heart of Vancouver's entertainment district, Rogers Arena is one of the most active sports and entertainment venues in North America. It has a maximum seating capacity of 20, 000 (depending on the event) and over 24, 000 sq. ft. of event space.Rogers Arena is home to the Vancouver Canucks NHL hockey team, and was the primary hockey venue for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Vancouver Convention Centre
The award-winning Vancouver Convention Centre (VCC), the first convention centre in the world to earn the highest LEED® rating, is British Columbia's premier events facility and located in one of the most beautiful settings in the world. With two uniquely designed, connected buildings offering a total of 466, 500 sq. ft. of function space, the possibilities are endless for either a conference or a sporting event. The facility also boasts 120, 000 sq. ft. of outdoor public space including a 87, 120 sq. ft. plaza in view of the majestic Olympic cauldron that is a perfect setting for award ceremonies, cultural events and community celebrations.

Pacific National Exhibition
Hastings Park is a sports and entertainment complex offering a variety of venues in a magnificent setting. Home to the Pacific Coliseum, which has 15, 713 permanent seats and the ability to add 2, 000 more temporary seats on the floor to accommodate concerts and spectator sports, it also offers 80, 000 sq. ft. of exhibition area and the 3, 230 seat Agrodome, with its polished concrete surface oval floor and almost 25, 000 sq. ft. of exhibition space. The PNE is home to the Vancouver Giants WHL hockey team and was a key venue for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Richmond Olympic Oval
The Richmond Olympic Oval is an outstanding venue that was home to long-track speed skating during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Now a multi-use facility, it boasts 13 regulation volleyball courts, 10 regulation basketball courts and three regulation indoor soccer fields, along with one of the largest, state-of-the art fitness and training facilities in the world, a high performance training centre, and an on-site sports medicine clinic. With flexible seating, the facility can accommodate up to 3, 000 spectators and is fully accessible making it ideal for wheelchair and adaptive sports.
University of British Columbia
Only 30 minutes from the heart of downtown Vancouver, the University of British Columbia's recreation facilities such as the Aquatic Centre, UBC Tennis Centre, Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Winter Centre, War Memorial Gym and Student Recreation Centre, are ideal for athletic events.
